This Privacy Policy describes how typlr.app ("Service", "Application"), operated by individual creator Evgeny Agasyants (Tax ID / INN: 183509028495, "Data Controller", "we", "us"), collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information of users ("User", "you").
We take user privacy seriously and comply with applicable data protection legislation, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Information We Collect
- Email Address: Collected when you sign in or subscribe. Used solely for authentication (passwordless magic links), account management, transactional receipts, and service updates.
- Technical & Usage Data: IP address, browser type, operating system version, and essential cookies (used to persist session authentication, UI theme, and language preferences).
- Project Content: Typography designs, glyph outlines, metrics, and font metadata created inside the editor. Your designs remain your confidential intellectual property.
- Payment Data: All payments are processed directly by our authorized merchant / payment partners (including lava.top / LAVALANE LTD). We do not store, process, or have access to full credit card numbers or banking passwords.
2. Purpose and Legal Basis of Processing
We process your data on the following legal bases under GDPR Article 6:
- Contractual Necessity: To provide access to the typlr.app font editing platform, persist your font projects, and fulfill our Terms of Service;
- Consent: When you provide your email address to log in or subscribe to project updates;
- Legitimate Interests: To ensure network security, prevent spam/abuse, and maintain uninterrupted service availability.
3. Data Retention and Security
All communications with the Service are encrypted using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS / HTTPS). We retain your account data and project files only as long as you maintain an active account with us. You can request deletion of your account and associated font data at any time.
4. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal information or creative designs. Data is shared with third parties only to the extent necessary to operate the Service:
- Payment processing agents (e.g., lava.top / LAVALANE LTD) for billing execution;
- Email delivery providers to dispatch authentication magic links.
5. Your Rights
Under GDPR and applicable privacy laws, you have the following rights:
- The right to access, rectify, or delete your personal data;
- The right to withdraw your consent at any time;
- The right to data portability (exporting your fonts and project data);
- The right to object to or restrict processing.
